During this time of “unknown” that we have taken on as the “new normal,” there are a few things that should be looked at if you are not only a business owner but an employee of any company. COVID-19, Drug Testing, Background Checks, and Work Comp.
Let us digest these one-by-one and give an understanding of what you can do to protect yourself, your company, and your employees.
COVID-19… The word that has brought us all to look around for the silent stranger that has caused us all to tailspin into the unknown. COVID -19, fortunately, has allowed us to be mindful of personal space and to do what we all should have been doing anyway… washing our hands.
Now let us get into the depth of this article. COVID-19 testing is rapidly becoming available for everybody as we are offering that choice. We are offering COVID-19 testing under the following options. (IGG tells you if you have HAD the virus, IGM tells you if you HAVE the virus.

Mobile Drug Testing
Drug testing for new hires, current employees, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing has also become the “new normal”. Drug testing has always been around, but a lot of employers think it “takes too much time, or it’s hard to get the employees to the labs”. True, at times, unless you use Grate Detections.
We offer in-office testing and Mobile Drug Testing to eliminate the taking to the lab or waiting around issues. We understand that time is money and taking an employee to the lab under a reasonable suspicion not only takes one employee away it takes two of them away from duties costing the company hundreds of dollars during this time.
The drug and alcohol use has been on the rise for the last few years with the ability to use VAP’s and Juuling on location. THC and other intoxicants are being used though these devices and employers have no idea.
Nevada DUI laws fall not only under Alcohol but under Drugs as well. If you have an employee using THC even though you might be “THC friendly” it is still federally illegal, and you could be faced with a major issue. This also includes even if an employee has a prescription for narcotics and is involved in a crash or hurts someone on the job.
We are able to conduct Instant or lab-based Urine Drug Testing for DOT and Non-DOT drug testing. We also offer Hair Testing and ETG (alcohol 80-hour look back testing). We can conduct testing in multiple options. Call for details.
This is probably the most controversial topic of all time. I speak at Family law conferences, judges, hiring events, and others about how NEVADA is a non-reporting state. Do I have your attention? What does Non-Reporting mean?
Nevada along with many other states and counties within the states are Non-reporting. This means they DO NOT report to any online databases that your HR or corporate are using to get you your background checks.
We hand check all our local courts and if we have out of town or state courts we have “friends of the courts” that allow us to have them checked. We also have proprietary databases we have access to that nobody else does because of our licenses.
We provide full background checks back to our clients to include SSN verification, name and DOB verification, full criminal, misdemeanor, family, and civil records checks followed up with a full report. We do not use the “menu” style background check, we supply everything you will need for your backgrounds.
Do not allow your company to be a liability because you did not do an actual background check leaving the backdoor open for lawsuits because your background checking firm didn’t do a complete background check.
Surveillance can be conducted upon your employees that “say they are injured or sick”. Year after year more employees are faking injuries or sickness so that they can get paid to sit at home and get paid. Surveillance has proved over and over that fraudulent employees do exist.
