Support the Veterans Guest House in Reno and get a chance to win $5,000. All it takes is the lucky $100 raffle ticket, and you can’t win if you don’t buy one! The Salute and Support Our Veterans Annual Fundraising Raffle is going on now until noon on Saturday, December 14th. With the purchase of a $100 raffle ticket, you get a chance to win a $5,000 cash grand prize, $2,500 second prize, or one of five $500 prizes. Only 500 tickets will be sold, and you have seven chances to win a cash prize!
The raffle directly supports the Veterans Guest House, celebrating its 25th anniversary of providing U.S. military service veterans and their families with caring support and temporary housing during times of medical need. The winning tickets will be drawn on Saturday, December 14th at the 25th Anniversary Tailgate Party during halftime of the Army vs. Navy football game. The party starts at 11 a.m. at the Guest House at 880 Locust St. You are invited to attend, but you need not be present to win.
You must be 18 or older to purchase a ticket. You can purchase a ticket in person at the following locations:
- the Flag Store at 155 Glendale Ave. in Sparks
- PJ & Co. Restaurant & Salon at 1590 S. Wells Ave. in Reno
- St. Ives Florist at 700 S. Wells Ave. in Reno
- Steve’s Army Surplus at 1100 E. Plumb Lane in Reno
- Capital Glass at 11331 S. Virginia St. in Reno or 2951 N. Deer Run Rd. in Carson City.
You can also stop by the Veterans Guest House at 880 Locust St. in Reno or call 775-324-6958 x11 or x14 to purchase a ticket. The closing date for raffle sales is December 14th at 12:00 noon. The winning ticket will be pulled during the Veterans Guest House 25th Anniversary Tailgate Party on December 14th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Space is limited.
