Letter from Emilio
Welcome to The Solace Tree! We strive to help children, teens, and families who are struggling with the loss of a loved one by providing a safe place for them to express their feelings of grief. With the courage to face their pain, individuals walk through our doors and learn how to smile again. Through The Solace Tree’s peer-support programs, our participants learn to deal with their grief in a positive and healthy way.
Over the last 17 years, The Solace Tree has served 6,783 children, 3,134 teens, and 2,930 adults. It is thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers who donate countless hours to help The Solace Tree that we’re able to serve Northern Nevada. As a nonprofit organization, The Solace Tree relies solely on individual donations, events, and other foundation’s support to operate.
There are many ways to get involved with The Solace Tree. Please go to our Ways to Help Sections to learn more about how to get involved. We welcome anyone who is interested in our programs to contact us directly.
Because we rely on grants, donations, and fundraisers, we are truly desperate for financial support at this time. All of our fundraisers have been canceled. We are still working, and we are asking you to please donate today to help The Solace Tree continue our community support, serving those who need us most.
